![]() Hello Friday. April 25 2025 ![]() No, we don’t mean the buttery, delicious bread you have on the side of grandma’s soup — we’re talking about Kornbread “the snack” Jeté drag queen who was on Season 14 of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
A few weeks ago, Reader Gina J. reached out to us to share about Tevin Kyrell Williams — a graduate + former thespian at Richland Northeast High School. Gina met Tevin while he played Gina’s daughter’s love interest in one of the school’s shows. They became close friends in theater and performed in Cats the Musical together.
After graduation, Tevin moved to Los Angeles and began performing in drag shows. Tevin transitioned to Demoria Elise Williams and thus, Kornbread ‘The Snack’ Jete — her stage name — was born. She was so fabulous, that she was chosen to be a contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race. Unfortunately, she had to leave the show due to an ankle injury during the Super Tease challenge.
Though her time on the show ended, she was considered a fan-favorite, because baked Kornbread is always a crowd pleaser. When asked during an interview with Billboard if she was going back on the show she said “I’m hoping they bring me back! It’s actually the 11th commandment — “thou shalt bring Kornbread’s ass back to the people’s TV.”
While you wait for the 11th commandment's manifestation, you have the chance to see her perform locally on March 27th The Woody for Elena DeVour’s Birthday Bash. EVENTS

Editor's pick: Fun fact about me — I’m a huge hockey fan (Go Flyers) and I’m so excited for the Cock Hockey game tonight against Clemson (which sold out in six minutes.) Gosh, it would make my week to see a Gamecock win over the Tigers.
