- The Peak Street overpass โ a new bridge over I-26 near Chapin โ is now open. The new overpass will handle more traffic as I-26 is widened and is part of the Midlands Connection Project. The next 6 bridges are expected to be completed in 2024. Stay tuned for updates. ๐ฃ (The Post and Courier)

- Last week, staff + students came together to duct tape the principal to a wall in the cafeteria at Jackson Elementary School. More than 500 students participated, and it was all for a good cause. The school raised $8,600 for the United Way. ๐(Cola Daily)

- The Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority โ also called The COMET โ announced the Richland County Lifeline Program, which provides low-income residents with transit passes.
Cause
- Lexington County resident Craig Richardson is working to raise $50,000 through Real Men Wear Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Craig uses his car โ a 1955 Packard 400 Executive Series โ to give patients + survivors a chance to talk through their experiences. He hopes the video series will bring awareness.
